How secure is my account?

Keeping your money secure is our top priority.

Your MonieWorld account is protected by a variety of security features to ensure your account is safe:

  • Identity: We use advanced technology to perform quick and thorough identity checks, so that only authorised users can access their account or make transactions.
  • Personal information: By enabling biometrics or a passcode on your device, your account is secure if you lose your phone or if your account is accessed from a new device.
  • Data privacy: Your information is stored and processed securely. All data transfers between our apps, servers, and third parties are encrypted to keep your data safe.

These measures work together to provide a high level of security, so your account is safe against fraud and scams.

I’m worried about a transaction or my device security

If you’re not sure about a transaction or balance on your account, or if you’ve lost or misplaced your device, get in touch with our customer support team through the Help Centre and they can put a temporary lock on your account.

Once your account is locked, you will have to complete an identity verification upon your next login to confirm your identity, as well as reset your passcode for added security.

Monitoring and screening

We perform monitoring and screening activity to comply with partner and regulatory requirements. Depending on the circumstances, this may include assessing the source of funds for certain transactions and monitoring transaction activity for anti-money laundering (AML) purposes.

Where we identify an increased risk of money laundering, or where a customer is classified as a politically exposed person (PEP), we may conduct additional due diligence measures.
